Announcing the BFF Bloom Grant: Over 100 grantees

“We hope this letter reaches you in a moment of peace, breath, or joy — the kind you so often create for others.” This is the opening line of our email to selected BFF Bloom grantees.

Just as a garden requires ongoing care, Birth Future Foundation believes our grantees deserve continued support as they root, grow, and flourish in their work. The BFF Bloom Grant, introduced in 2025, is designed to nurture and sustain the community of midwives, doulas, and students we have already supported. Too often, funding models are transactional—once the grant ends, so does the connection. At Birth Future Foundation, we choose a different path.

The Bloom Grant provides ongoing support to our past grantees, offering small but meaningful funds to sustain well-being and fuel ongoing work; whether through self-care, professional development, or tending to community needs.

The 2025 BFF Bloom Grant was announced with a surprise award letter. To receive the grant, past grantees from 2022-2024 simply needed to complete a short check-in so we can learn how they are doing and gather insights into the impact of our shared work. This is not about burdensome reporting, it is about staying connected, honoring the journey, and ensuring that those who pour into others are also poured into.

The Bloom Grant is our way of saying: your work matters, your care matters, and we remain committed to walking alongside you as you continue to grow and thrive.
